Nappy rash is usually friction plus moisture, not an allergy. The fix is boring and effective: change more often, dry properly, and put a breathable barrier between skin and nappy.
Give a few minutes of nappy-free air time at every change if you can. Pat the area dry instead of wiping hard, and skip fragranced wipes while skin is sore.
A zinc-oxide cream with calendula soothes and shields at the same time. Apply a visible layer · this is one of the few products you should not rub all the way in.
See a doctor if the rash spreads beyond the nappy area, has raised edges or small spots around it, or has not improved in three days.
This is general guidance, not medical advice. If something about your baby's skin worries you, speak to your pediatrician.
